A couple of weeks ago I was able to meet with Matt, one of the owners of Cunningham Farm Events, to see this venue for my Places to Get Married in Maine series. It was such a great visit! I was able to hear about how they came to own the property, what they offer to their couples, and more of the heart behind it all.
One of the things I think I love most about this space is the fact that it’s a blank slate. It can be left as is for a wedding, and still be beautiful, or you can add whatever you want to it to make it reflect who you are as a couple! Cunningham Farm is so big that it has everything you need to make your day flow easily and give your guests a change of scenery at various points of the day.
Here are some of my favorite things about Cunningham Farm Events!
- The Something Blue room is gorgeous! That was the first space Matt showed me and I think I audibly gasped. It’s so spacious and has so much natural light! This room is the perfect space to get ready with your wedding party!
- Cunningham Farm sits on several acres of land, which gives you so much access to create the perfect look you want.
- When you rent the space, you’re renting it for the whole weekend – so that means you have that time entirely dedicated to your wedding.
- There are 3 barns on the property that can be used however you like. The dairy barn (the biggest one) is typically used for the reception and catering – it also has a full bar space! One of the smaller barns can be used for the groom and his guys to hang out before the ceremony. There’s another barn that can be used for cocktail hour.
- They have a beautiful outdoor ceremony spot. If it’s super rainy, they have a backup indoor ceremony spot.
- Cunningham Farm can accommodate 200 guests, and they have a large 80 car parking lot that keeps everything nice and easy.
- It’s located in New Gloucester, Maine and is pretty easy to get to from most of the major cities in southern Maine.
- Even though you will need to bring in your own wedding planner, there will be a property manager there on site during the wedding to help answer any questions that may come up or address any property needs.
- This statement from their website really sums up the beauty of the property: “The property boasts more than 90 acres of land inclusive of three event barns, a farmhouse, a pond, a river, a meandering brook, rock walls, and an iconic tree farm – complete with a white farm fence – there couldn’t be a more beautiful property to serve as a backdrop for your magical day. ”
If you’re looking for a venue that screams New England charm, this is it! I saw it in the winter, and it didn’t stop me from seeing all the potential and beauty that Cunningham Farm Events has to offer for your wedding day!
You can see everything they have to offer you for a wedding here! This will help you see what you can create for your wedding weekend. It truly has so much 🙂 Here are some photos of the blank space!
