Autumn Lane Estate // Places to Get Married in Maine

By the time I reached the end of my tour with Nicole, one thing was super clear to me: When you book a wedding with Autumn Lane Estate, you’re not just getting a venue. You’re getting an experience. And it’s a pretty dang cool one at that!

Autumn Lane Estate overlooks the shores of Sebago Lake and is the second installment in my “Places to Get Married in Maine” series! It was my first time visiting the property and I have to say… so many aspects of it are so dreamy from a photography standpoint. I love that they only do one wedding per weekend so that every couple is getting all the care and attention they deserve. There’s also so much natural light inside every single building and that makes a HUGE difference from a photo standpoint. I’m also obsessed with all the light colored pine!

Across the property, they can sleep up to 60 guests which is a super convenient bonus to having a wedding there. I got to see all the different areas of the venue. Including:

  • The Couple’s Cottage // This is where bridal prep happens and includes a kitchen and a salon bar. You’ll have everything you need on your special day, and then you get to wake up to the views of the lake after you’ve said “I do!” Of course, I had to take a photo in the cool full length mirror they have.
  • The Estate House // A great spot for the wedding party and family to get ready on the day of. There’s tons of space and natural light, and several sleeping arrangements! There’s also a super cool shower in there – trust me on this.
  • The Barn // A beautiful building that can be customized however you see fit! Many people will host the dancing inside the barn and have dinner and cocktail hour in the courtyard right outside.
  • Guest Cabins // They have 10 gorgeous guest cabins and a surrounding resort space (complete with a natural swimming pool!) available to their guests during the wedding weekend.
  • The Nest // Their cafe + bar that’s right outside of the guest cabins. It has one of the coolest interior designs on their ceiling! I couldn’t get enough of it!
  • A Catering Kitchen // Autumn Lane Estate has gone the extra mile of establishing a permanent catering kitchen. They’ve taken the time to meet with different catering companies to ensure that they have all the sufficient equipment needed to help make things run so smoothly during cocktail hour and dinner.
  • Private Beach Access // Guests of Autumn Lane for the weekend have private beach access to Sebago Lake. This can be used for leisure over the weekend as well as photo ops for the wedding day!

Overall, the whole space is just absolutely beautiful! There’s so much space to roam and enjoy the weekend. It truly is an experience, and they’ve thought of everything a couple could need for the weekend. I loved hearing about the history of the space, meeting Daniel (one of the owners), and just seeing everything that they have to offer!

Autumn Lane Estate would be such a beautiful place to get married in Maine! Fresh, modern and timeless, indeed!

You can usually find me adding books to my never-ending “to read” list; challenging myself to do things like not shop for a year; sneaking crispy m+ms from my secret hiding spot so I don’t have to share them with my daughter; and melting over seeing my children smiling at each other.

Oh and I guess I should mention - I’m a seasoned Portland wedding photographer who provides not only kick-ass wedding photos, but also a meaningful and laid-back experience from the time you book to the delivery of your final images.
