Summer Wedding at The Commons 1854 in Topsfield, MA
It was supposed to rain on their wedding day, but luck was on their side! We had a beautiful day for Rachel and Dominic to get married at The Commons 1854. Everything about this day was vibrant, from the colors they chose, their beautiful invitations, the florals (I couldn’t get over how gorgeous they were), the sunshine, the smiles on their guests faces, and just the joy and emotion that everyone had. It was truly an honor to bear witness to the start of their married life!
Favorite Moments from Rachel + Dominic’s Wedding Day
Rachel and Dominic had the sweetest and emotional first look in the garden before the ceremony. You could tell they were both just overwhelmed with happiness as what was happening really settled in! I love moments like that. During the ceremony, I loved how the flower girl passed out actual full stem roses to some of the guests. They also did something so special to honor those who couldn’t be there with them – they put a rose in a vase for each person they were honoring. I’ve never seen that before! The ceremony was absolute perfection.
And can we please talk about Rachel’s wedding dress?! It was STUNNING. I absolutely loved the lace cut out at the bottom of her dress, and the lace edging around the top. It was so elegant and I couldn’t get enough of it. The Commons 1854 has such a beautiful and classic building and garden that I loved using as the backdrop for their photos.
During their reception, the speeches were top-notch, and spoke volumes about Rachel and Dominic. You can tell that they are so dearly loved, and have such a positive impact on the people around them. They also had an amazing choreographed first dance, and I loved hearing everyone erupt into cheers when Dom lifted Rachel up and spun her around. I loved every second of it.
Speaking of the reception – I’m pretty sure the flower girl had more energy than all the adults combined, haha. It was so fun watching her dance the night away! They also opened up the dance floor with the Hora, which is one of my favorite things to photograph.
Something else that made the day special is that Dom’s father made the wedding and the engagement rings. It’ll truly be a family heirloom, how incredible is that?! The rings are so beautiful!
This whole wedding day was such a sweet glimpse into a world that is clearly full of love and absolute respect. It was such an incredible honor to be their wedding photographer! Check out some of my favorites from their wedding at The Commons 1854!
