Wedding at The Oaks Grandview

On June 28th, 2024, my sister Krystle quietly eloped in York, Maine with the love of her life, Jack. I had the absolute honor of photographing their intimate ceremony – and somehow, we managed to keep it a secret for a little while! Fast forward exactly one year later, on June 28th, 2025, they got to do it all over again – this time with everyone they love – at their gorgeous wedding at The Oaks Grandview in Somersworth, NH.

Being both the photographer and a maid of honor was a bit of a wild ride (yes, I was running around with a camera in one hand and a bouquet in the other), but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

I honestly didn’t think I’d get emotional. After all, they had already tied the knot a year ago! But the second Krystle started walking down the aisle… I almost lost it. My sister looked absolutely radiant -elegant, joyful, and totally glowing. Seeing her and Jack get to celebrate with their people this time around made it feel extra special.

One of the sweetest parts of the day? Their son served as one of the ring bearers! My son was the driver of a mini Ford Bronco for the ring security of the day, and they both stole the show as they came down the aisle. It was such a meaningful way to honor their little family and the life they’ve already started building together!

From the sentimental ceremony to the sweet children giggling, heartfelt toasts, and the epic fireworks that closed out the night- it was a celebration full of love, light, and laughter. Every detail was intentional, every smile genuine, and every second absolutely unforgettable – and I know every single one of their guests would agree.

Krystle and Jack, you two have already built something so steady and strong together – and this day was the most beautiful reflection of that.

Happy one-year anniversary and happiest wedding day all in one! What a joy it was to celebrate you!

You can usually find me adding books to my never-ending “to read” list; challenging myself to do things like not shop for a year; sneaking crispy m+ms from my secret hiding spot so I don’t have to share them with my daughter; and melting over seeing my children smiling at each other.

Oh and I guess I should mention - I’m a seasoned Portland wedding photographer who provides not only kick-ass wedding photos, but also a meaningful and laid-back experience from the time you book to the delivery of your final images.
