Julia and Eduardo officially got married back in September, and had to rearrange all of their wedding plans due to Covid. But, this past weekend, they finally had their long-awaited wedding celebration at the Atkinson Resort and Country Club! Friends, it was welllll worth the wait. Everything about their day was absolutely perfect.
I think my favorite part of the day was the open dance floor at the reception. (Well, let’s be honest, the whole day was my favorite, but if I HAD to choose one part, this would be the top pick!) Everyone was SO enthusiastic and so into dancing and having a good time, you couldn’t help but smile while you watched it happen. Never would I have imagined Eduardo to be one to get out on the dance floor, but there he was, totally rocking out! Everyone was just so happy all day. It was a great reminder of what weddings are truly all about – celebrating with the people that matter most to you!
Eduardo and his family are from Brazil, and though some of their extended family couldn’t make it because of travel restrictions, they definitely incorporated different traditions into their day! They had the most delicious traditional Brazilian desserts to start with. All the men wore socks that had the Brazil flag on it. And instead of a bouquet of flowers, Julia threw a bouquet of five St. Anthony dolls on it. The details of the story are fuzzy as to why this is a tradition, but it was a fun one to uphold, nonetheless!
Julia and Eduardo’s wedding day was nothing short of incredible. And I’ve got photos to prove it 😉 Check out some of my faves below!
