I texted Brittany a few days before the elopement and asked “uh, is there a rain back up?” And she said “nope.” Haha. The weather forecast was not looking good at all for Kara and Justin to elope in Biddeford Pool, but no matter what, they were going to get married that day!
The day of, the weather miraculously changed. We had nothing but glorious sunshine in Biddeford Pool for Kara + Justin to elope! Their wedding plans kept changing due to Covid, and finally they decided they were just going to do the dang thing, because that’s what mattered to them the most! They had their best friends with them and the pure joy radiating from all of them was just incredible to witness.
It was an absolute honor to be a part of such a special and long awaited moment! After their ceremony, a woman came up to them carrying a bottle of champagne and two glasses. Apparently she had gotten engaged the night before, and they saw what was happening on the beach and wanted to give Kara and Justin one of their extra bottles! It was such a sweet gesture on their wedding day!! Having that at the end definitely gave a little extra oomph to the celebration!
I’m so glad all we had to deal with was the sun peeking in and out of the clouds. As soon as we left, the most intense, dark, rain clouds showed up complete with lightning and thunder! Kara + Justin, your day was perfect. Thank you so much for letting me be a small piece of it!
