They became friends in high school, went to senior prom together, and before the end of Ivy’s first year of college, they were official 🙂 The next year Matt went to college in Boston and the rest, as they say, is history! If you ask Ivy about how Matt proposed to her, this is what she’ll tell you :
“Matt proposed to me the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend at my family’s home in Massachusetts. My family was traveling, and it was just us for the weekend, but he said he waited until the last day -Sunday – because he was nervous! When I woke up Sunday morning, I saw a sign outside my bedroom telling me to come downstairs. There were flowers for me in the kitchen, three kinds of pancakes, and a video slideshow running on the computer that told the story of our relationship. When I went into the living room, Matt was there on one knee with my ring! Soon after, we began calling our family and close friends, and we were so excited we forgot to eat the pancakes!”
Less than a year later, Matt and Ivy said “I Do” in front of their closest friends and family at the Warren Conference Center & Inn. They had the PERFECT day! From the sweetest first look, the gorgeous weather, the fun wedding party, the best maid of honor speech I’ve ever heard, the stunning details, and to the last dance, this wedding was pretty much magical!
Ivy + Matt, THANK YOU for choosing me to be your wedding photographer! It was a stunning day, and I’m so happy to be a part of it! I wish you two many years of love and happiness. Much love and appreciation.. Linda 🙂
