“May your love echo louder than all the amplifiers at a Phish concert.” That was how April ended her speech, and it was a stellar speech. In fact, all three speeches given at Kelly and Jay’s reception were absolutely incredible! The guests were so incredibly happy and excited to be there, and their deafening roars of laughter and cheers totally proved it. They planned their wedding with their guests in mind, and it definitely paid off. The love between these two is so damn clear and obvious, and I love the fact that they owe it all to a pub crawl!
Kelly and Jay were married at the Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport, and it was a spectacular day full of so much love AND dancing! Her veil fell off while walking down the aisle (the wind was strong!), it was actually fairly cold out, and the rings were dropped at the ceremony, but it didn’t keep these two newlyweds from laughing and smiling throughout the entire day! I’ve got the photos to prove it 😉 I loved the touches of deep blues and light pinks throughout the reception decor, the flowers (“romantic and wild” for Kelly’s bouquet), the dresses and the ties! It was such a classy looking group!! The day truly reflected who they are as a couple, and their roots, even down to the hand painted lighthouses!
One of my favorite things about their day was one of their ring bearers – George! He was camera shy at first, but eventually he warmed right up and before we knew it he was photobombing photos left and right! Not intentionally, I’m sure, but he was just so dang cute!
Oh, Kelly and Jay, thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to be the one to photograph what was clearly such a special day for everyone in attendance!
Thanks to the team who helped make this event absolutely gorgeous!
