I sat in the parking lot, and as my car literally rocked side to side from the wind, I thought to myself “Well, this should be interesting.” And at least the sun was shining. I’ve photographed sessions in the wind before, but never quite like this. It was pure insanity, haha. But Haylen + Drew were actual rock stars while we did their engagement photos at Kettle Cove in what felt like hurricane force winds! You wouldn’t know it from the photos we got!
We walked around Kettle Cove, getting to know each other and looking for little pockets of space that were somehow blocked from the wind (we only found one of these glorious spaces, for the record). Haylen and Drew are high school sweethearts, and have transitioned through a lot of big life changes together already. A little over a year ago, right before they were getting ready to leave for vacation, Drew proposed in their living room, and according to Haylen it was perfect and so true to who they are as a couple!
I think this was my first time doing engagement photos at Kettle Cove, and I think it’s going to be a new fave spot! Check out some of my favorites from our engagement session together!
