From the moment their eyes first met on Moody St. in Waltham to the proposal at The Elms in Rhode Island, Rachel and Dom’s relationship moved quickly – in the best, most certain way. Over the year leading up to the proposal, they built a strong foundation of friendship and love as they explored together, both locally and beyond. I loved hearing about their story and their shared love of board games, family, and travel. We also discovered we’re all equally obsessed with Gifford’s Campfire S’mores ice cream, so clearly we were meant to be. As we wandered around and did their engagement photos at Fort Williams, we chatted about board games to try, their wedding plans, and all the best things to see and do in Maine.
I love when couples are brand new to professional photos, and Rachel and Dom absolutely crushed it. By the end of our session, I barely had to say a word – they were basically seasoned models. It’s always my favorite when we wrap up and I hear things like, “That was effortless on my part!” or “Way better than I expected!” Helping couples feel confident in front of the camera truly is one of my superpowers!
Rachel and Dom are so sweet together – always laughing, and you can genuinely feel their affection radiating between them. They’re also incredibly easy to be around, and I truly cannot wait for their wedding day next summer! I loved hearing that Dom’s dad, who is a jeweler, made Rachel’s engagement ring and will also be making their wedding bands. Details like that make everything feel even more meaningful. True family heirlooms in the making! Anyway, I digress. Enjoy a few of my favorite photos from their Fort Williams engagement session. It was the most perfect Maine evening!
