We had just finished talking about how it can be awkward on wedding days because random strangers will be taking photos of us taking photos, when we came upon the stone bridge and walked right into the background of what seemed to be some sort of band photo. We laughed a lot about it and backtracked and went over by the dam. This was our first time at Vaughn Woods, aka Hobbitland, and it did not disappoint! Sometimes you hear about places and they get really built up and then you show up and it’s not so great. So NOT the case here. I could not get over how incredibly beautiful it all was!!
Allyssa and Mark are so perfect together. They will be celebrating their one year anniversary while they’re on their honeymoon after their wedding next month and I LOVE stories like that! Especially when it starts with two people dating, one person leaving for a month and a half, and then picking up where they left off! When you know you know! We had a great time exploring the dam and the bridge, and this massive open field. Luckily, the forecast changed from 70% chance of rain + thunder to just cloudy, to ending up being an incredibly beautiful Maine evening! I had such a great time getting to know them and hear their plans for their wedding (which is going to be SO epic!) and definitely getting my physical activity in for the day!
Enjoy some of my favorites of this beautiful couple and this magical place!
