She opened up a card from Sean, and inside of it it said “Congratulations, Mrs. Conerly!” When she turned around, there he was on one knee with a stunning ring. Sean was so nervous that he literally forgot to speak. After what felt like a really long time, he managed to say “Will you marry me?” And of course she said YES! I loved hearing Mykayla and Sean’s story as we walked around Mackworth Island for their engagement session!
When they met a few years ago, they told their friends and family different versions of how they met. Christian mingle, match.com, that sort of thing. But in reality, it was #bestrightswipeever and the rest is history! These two are so sweet together, and the way that Sean looks at Mykayla is seriously the best! I had so much fun photographing them with their dog, Breesy at the beginning of the session. She was such a good doggy and mom and dad came super prepared to help get awesome family photos!
Sean proposed to Mykayla the day she graduated from her graduate program. So, we decided to incorporate her cap into some of the photos on the beach!
Mykayla and Sean, thank you so much! I wasn’t planning on doing a full loop around the island, but you two were such troopers! I’m SO excited to do this again at your wedding in the Spring!
