Under the Sea Baby Shower

My dear friend was driving us when we had to change the conversation to something else, because just talking about how we were on the way to MY own baby shower brought us to tears. I honestly didn’t think this day would ever come for me! This past weekend my sister, Krystle, threw me the most perfect Under the Sea themed baby shower ever at the South Portland Community Center!

One thing I’ve noticed since getting pregnant and announcing it is that the crazies come out of the woodwork, with their strange comments and know-it-all attitudes. BUT. I’ve also been incredibly overwhelmed and grateful for the generosity and kindness that SO many people have shown us! After the baby shower we have everything we could possibly need for our little one, and I am speechless to see how much so many people have done for us! We were also showered with many thoughtful and sentimental gifts that we are going to treasure forever!

Anyway, I just wanted to share a few photos from the day! I didn’t take these photos, but I set up my camera and handed it over to anyone who wanted to use it so that I could have scrapbook photos! I’ve gotta say, Krystle has set the bar high and I don’t know if I can do as good as she does when it’s my turn to throw her the party!!

You can usually find me adding books to my never-ending “to read” list; challenging myself to do things like not shop for a year; sneaking crispy m+ms from my secret hiding spot so I don’t have to share them with my daughter; and melting over seeing my children smiling at each other.

Oh and I guess I should mention - I’m a seasoned Portland wedding photographer who provides not only kick-ass wedding photos, but also a meaningful and laid-back experience from the time you book to the delivery of your final images.

I share all things personal, business, tips, and life as a mom and business owner here on the blog!
