Senior Photos at Fort Williams

I used to photograph a lot of seniors when I first started my business 14 years ago, and then, slowly but surely, I stepped away from them. Over the last few years, though, senior sessions have been sneaking their way back into my world. For now it’s mostly friends and family, but who knows… maybe they’ll make a full return to the lineup someday. Either way, I’ve been having a lot of fun with them again!

It’s wild to think that when I met Graham three years ago at The Refuge, he was still very much a kid in my eyes, and now here he is, a young man getting ready to graduate high school. Time is such a funny thing: somehow it feels like it slows everything down and speeds everything up at the same time.

We decided that doing Graham’s senior photos at Fort Williams would be the perfect spot. I knew we could get beautiful scenery and tons of variety in a short amount of time – which, let’s be honest, is every senior boy’s dream. They’re usually a very different breed from my senior girls!

We wandered around the park, chatted about life, and I even managed to get him laughing more than once, so I’m counting that as a win. The sky was moody, the light was perfect, and the whole setting felt so classically Maine.

Here are some of my favorites from Graham’s senior photos at Fort Williams!

You can usually find me adding books to my never-ending “to read” list; challenging myself to do things like not shop for a year; sneaking crispy m+ms from my secret hiding spot so I don’t have to share them with my daughter; and melting over seeing my children smiling at each other.

Oh and I guess I should mention - I’m a seasoned Portland wedding photographer who provides not only kick-ass wedding photos, but also a meaningful and laid-back experience from the time you book to the delivery of your final images.

I share all things personal, business, tips, and life as a mom and business owner here on the blog!
