There’s a lot of posts out there about what to wear for your engagement session. I have one on my blog! But, there’s one thing I want to share with you today about preparing for your engagement session that I think sometimes gets glossed over!
Having your hair, make-up and nails done!
Getting your nails done for an engagement session is such a good idea because there’s definitely going to be photos where we are focusing on that gorgeous ring on your hand! It’s nice if your nails look polished for photos like this! I love how Emily’s nails in this photo match her wedding colors!
Hair and make-up – this is actually a great time to do a trial run for the wedding day. Not only can you see if you like how the hair and make-up looks, but you get to see how it holds up throughout the session, and how it all looks in the photos. It allows you to make adjustments before the wedding day if you need them! I know some women don’t do a wedding hairstyle, but they’ll get their hair done along with their make-up so it enhances how they feel!
These are just a couple of things to think about. When you invest in an engagement session, you want to make sure you look and feel your best! For some women hair and make-up isn’t that, and that’s okay! But I also know that there’s a lot of women who tell me that they just didn’t think to have that done for photos outside of the wedding day.
I am sharing this today just as something to think about 🙂 This definitely is not a requirement for an engagement session!
