It all started with the Navy. Ellen and Bre met through a mutual friend while stationed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Bre proposed to Ellen while they were stationed in Cuba, and it has such a special place in their heart, they decided to go with a nautical theme for their wedding so that it reflected the start of their story.
The whole day was so beautiful. There were gale force winds (or so it seemed), but that couldn’t take the smiles and tears off of everyone’s face. Ellen and Bre exchanged vows and became wife and wife at Ellen’s parents’ beautiful home, under the sunshine and blue skies. Nothing could bring this day down! We had so much fun despite the wind and chill, and warmed up at Davinci’s where we all continued to celebrate Ellen and Bre!
The cupcakes were made by two amazing sixth grade girls who created Delicious for Dempsey Cupcakes! The proceeds went toward the Dempsey Center in Lewiston. Yet another reason this wedding was so incredible! 🙂
Ellen’s dad has written a poem for each of his daughter’s at their wedding and has it framed as a gift. This is possibly the sweetest thing I’ve seen a father do for his daughter!!
