At the start of almost every session, I have couples tell me that they’ve never done “this” before and that they are going to need some direction. I’ve even had some couples ask me beforehand if they are supposed to google different poses for them to do during our session! The more this happens, the more I realized I needed to write a blog post about it!
Could you imagine showing up for a photography session, already being nervous about being in front of the camera, and then having to do all the work yourself?! Oh my gosh that would be a TERRIBLE experience! You hired me for this! When you show up to a session, I am going to take good care of you. I will give you all the loving, instruction, and encouragement you’ll need! By the end of my session with couples, they’ve transitioned to having a good time, feeling confident, and actually doing really cute and adorable things all on their own! It breaks my heart to think that sometimes couples DO show up to a session with their photographer and they aren’t given much guidance.
Have faith in your photographer and rest assured that when you show up for a photo session, all you have to do is be present, and I (or whoever you hire!) will take care of the rest!!
