Hiking is where it all started, and hiking is where Derin decided he was going to make it “official” with Margaret. As they were hiking in Glacier National Park Derin proposed at a beautiful lake with one of his mom’s rings – the ring is turquoise and looks like a mountain lake (Margaret really loves mountain lakes), and obviously Margaret said yes! They had their intimate wedding at Larz Anderson Park in Boston and they couldn’t have asked for a sweeter day.
They decided to have their wedding at Larz Anderson Park’s “Temple of Love” surrounded by their immediate family. Margaret’s sister officiated the ceremony and it was simply perfect. I didn’t meet them in person until I showed up to photograph and it’s so clear why they love each other and why everyone loves them. They’re joyful, easy to be around and talk with, and they have a zeal for life and each other that is palpable from the moment you meet them.
Margaret + Derin – thank you so much for allowing me to a part of your incredibly special wedding at Larz Anderson Park! While I lived in the area I always said I’d go but never made it – and I couldn’t imagine a more perfect reason to go visit the park than to celebrate love IN the Temple of Love.
