Okay, so it’s not Lily’s FIRST pumpkin. But it’s the first time she’s CARVED a pumpkin. And by “carved”, I mean, she was super squeamish about touching anything and Steven mostly did it himself, haha. But overall it was a fun time, and I’m hoping that next year she’ll be more into it!
My favorite part of this was when Lily decided she was going to sit on the floor near Steven and sing to him while he worked. She wanted to be his cheerleader I guess 😉 Once the pumpkin was carved Lily was completely fascinated by it. Every night she wanted to go “turn it on” and stare at it. We put string lights inside of it to make it light up and she LOVED it!
But alas, the pumpkin didn’t last long and we had to compost it, haha. Steven is psyched to do it again next year and I think that we’ll have to carve more than one! And maybe I’ll be ambitious and roast the seeds while we’re at it 🙂
Anyway, check out some cute photos of “Lily’s” first pumpkin!
