“Are you feeling inspired?” Steven said to me with a smile as he started to walk backward along the water line so I could take photos of him.
I smiled back and for the first time in a long time, I replied with a “Yes! I think so!” On a whim recently, Steven came home and said his friend was surfing at Higgins and it’s a beautiful evening so we should just go and take photos and play around. One of my goals for a long time has been to just go out and take photo walks – just for fun and just for me. Going out and taking photos with no pressure usually leaves me feeling refreshed and excited for new projects and feeling fulfilled. However, I’m REALLY bad at following through with that!
My husband got me out of the house for an hour in the winter and we had the best time taking photographs together. We each had one of my digital cameras and swapped cameras every now and then. I even took out the film camera and played around with that too. It was the perfect sunset in Maine, and I got to spend it by the ocean (one of my faves) and with my husband (also one of my faves!).
If you’re in a funk and are feeling kind of muddled, go out and do something for fun, with no pressure, and the end result will be so freeing! I seriously felt so great when we got home from our little excursion! Check out some photos that Steven and I got!
