All right, if you know me at all, you know I’m a big advocate of getting your photos printed. They don’t deserve to sit on flash drives and hard drives or in the cloud for all of their existence. You paid good money to have them taken, they should be out on display! When it comes to weddings, I strongly believe that you should have a professionally designed wedding album. Here are five reasons why.
1. They’ll actually get it done.
Wedding photographers will follow through. I never had an album included in my wedding package, and it took ME over a YEAR to get it done. Me. The girl who adores printing photos and doing something with them. After a wedding, you may have the best intentions to get a wedding album created, but the reality is it probably won’t happen for a long time. Your wedding photographer? They’ll make sure it happens!
2. They have the software.
Designing a wedding album can be daunting, but photographers have software that is designed specifically for creating a wedding album. It’s the bees knees, really.
3. They have access to high quality albums.
There are SO many album companies out there, and a significant portion of them are not available to the general public. I use an album company based out of Italy and before I could even place an order for the first time I had to verify that I did indeed run a business. Therefore, photographers have access to really kick-ass albums that you probably wouldn’t be able to access on your own. 
4. They’ll help tell the story of your day.
When you receive your wedding images, you could receive as many as 800 images! That’s so amazing! However, you don’t need EVERY. single. image. in your wedding album! Your photographer will help you narrow down the images that really tell the story of your wedding day. It’ll be just enough that as you flip through the album, you’ll be able to re-live the whole day and tell stories about events that happened.
5. It’s your legacy.
I really believe that one day your kids and grandkids will be sitting down and looking through your wedding album. You deserve to have something that is high quality and will stand the test of time. Something that will last – just like your marriage 🙂 Trust me, they are worth every penny.
