On the three hour drive from Portland to West Greenwich, there was nothing but rain, and heavier rain. I obsessively checked the weather radar every ten minutes while Steven drove, and just prayed that something would change. The weather radar was so angry and showed nothing but heavy rain with super high percentages until 5pm that day.
It was a wedding miracle.
We showed up at 12pm, and it wasn’t raining anymore, and that’s the way it stayed for the rest of the day! We even got some photos to document the fact that sun even came out at one point!
Katie and Nick had the most perfect, and beautifully emotional wedding day at the Whispering Pines Conference Center this past weekend. I’ve been friends with Katie for nine years and it was so sweet to be the one to document their wedding day (with Steven by my side!).
They were going for “outdoor sophistication” for their inspiration and they totally nailed it! My favorite part of the day was their first look (they were both crying! so sweet!), their first dance, and the speeches from Chelsey and Setha. They were SO damn good and had everyone either laughing, crying, or both.
Katie and Nick – thank you for trusting us and allowing us to witness your love story as it has unfolded over the years. I hope you two are having a kick-ass honeymoon in Italy!! xoxo
