So today is part two of my workflow series that I started a while back. I created a bunch of workflow sheets for my business so that I don’t forget anything and so I remain consistent across the board! If you missed the first one, you can see it here.
Today I am going to talk about the steps I take for organizing and delivering photos!
Prior to the session:
- Create client folder in stage one (it’s the hard drive we’ve designated for importing and editing photos) with the following sub-folders: DNG, JPEG, BLOG. The fourth sub-folder I use is a secret 🙂
After the session:
- Create a new catalog in Lightroom 4 and import all photos into the DNG folder.
- Cull through photos in LR4
- Organize photos into folders (photog’s faves, getting ready, etc.)
- Edit all photos in color and b&w
- Export all photos to the JPEG folder.
- Export blog & FB images.
- Stomp blog & FB images.
- Back up images to the external drive.
- Move folder to stage two.
- Create blog post and schedule.
- Upload photos to PASS & publish.
- Share link with client!
This is what I do that works best for me. If it doesn’t work for you, that’s okay! If it does work for you, that’s great! I just wanted to share what I do in case it is helpful to others!
