I just wanted to do a quick blog post about Purple Cow by Seth Godin. This was one of my business books that have been on my list for this year, and I finally finished it. It is an EXCELLENT book. It really forced me to think about my business and what I’m trying to convey to the rest of the world. It’s also a great book that showcases hundreds of businesses are “purple cows.” Basically, anything that is a purple cow STANDS OUT. It’s different from the rest of the industry and is recognized for it. It’s about building success off of your purple cow. The key is just to figure out how to make your business a purple cow. Even if I don’t stand out like a purple cow, it helped me think of different ways that I can improve my business and help it develop its own personality – and have it be known for that.
I highly recommend this book to any and all business owners. It’s a pretty quick read, and it’s actually kind of fun to read! I learned so much from it, and I’m sure you can too! 🙂
