So I stumbled across this blog, “the story of my life,” and I really like it. She started a blog every day in May challenge, and I’ve decided to hop on the bandwagon and do it too! I’m starting five days late, so I’m going to start with day one today, and then just go all the way to the end – in June 🙂 The first day is the story of your life in 250 words.
Well, I was born on April 12, twenty three years ago to two of the best parents in this whole world! I am one of four children, and the first girl out of a very long chain of grandchildren. Both of my parents are deaf, which I thought was the way life was suppose to be. It wasn’t until I went to school that I realized no one else had parents who were deaf – those kids were so weird! 😉 I was a pretty intense tomboy growing up, and I didn’t believe in showering on a regular basis until 8th grade – I was that kid. I’m fortunate enough that I’ve been able to travel most of my life, mostly with my family on annual camping trips. If you don’t like camping, I’m not sure we can be friends. I’ve been to Australia and Italy, and have a big list of other countries that I want to visit before I die. I attended a four year university, where I had some of the BEST experiences of my life. I am so honored to have met the people I did who are still a part of my life. I married my best friend and soul mate after knowing him for only seven months. He makes me a better person. I currently teach at Portland High School, live with my sister (my absolute best friend), am bored out of my skull in grad school, and am so anxious for the next set of adventures life throws my way!
Okay. So that’s a little more than 250 words, but it works!

You can usually find me adding books to my never-ending “to read” list; challenging myself to do things like not shop for a year; sneaking crispy m+ms from my secret hiding spot so I don’t have to share them with my daughter; and melting over seeing my children smiling at each other.
Oh and I guess I should mention - I’m a seasoned Portland wedding photographer who provides not only kick-ass wedding photos, but also a meaningful and laid-back experience from the time you book to the delivery of your final images.
I share all things personal, business, tips, and life as a mom and business owner here on the blog!
