Today marks the fourth anniversary of when the mister and I became “official,” a mere two to three weeks after we met! It’s been a wonderful four years, and I am so excited for the years we have ahead of us. One thing that I have absolutely adored about being with this man is seeing him get so fired up about different things. Steven has talked about making picture frames for a while, but we didn’t have a router table to go with the router he got a couple of years ago (from a yard sale, I believe!), so it was pretty much impossible to make any frames.
For christmas, his parents bought him a table. He has turned our kitchen into a woodworking shop and will spend hours just working on making picture frames. Typically when no one is home – because it is a messy and loud business! I love seeing him get so excited about this, and finally see his ideas come to life! It’s something he’s wanted to do for so long, and he never lost his passion about it.
That’s one thing that I’ve learned from Steven.
Passion is the best thing you can have.
It may not last forever, but you have to get the most out of it while you can! Whether it’s passion about knitting, working on cars, building your own furniture, scrapbooking, or anything you want, go all out. Do it as much as you can, because in the end, that’s what life is all about – finding passion and doing things that make you happy, that make you feel alive!
I think it’s safe to say that Steven is passionate about making his own things and learning how to do things for himself!
He’s learned to block off the rooms with tarps, and to cover things in the kitchen to minimize sawdust getting everywhere. He’s also hooked up a dyson vacuum cleaner to his router table to help take in a lot of the dust immediately!
Gosh, he is just the cutest!
Stopping to update his story on SnapChat – he took a “snap” for each step of the way! It was pretty adorable!!
I don’t have any photos of the first finished product, but I’ll be sure to share some when he makes his next one! I know it’ll definitely be soon, since we just went out yesterday to get some wood! 🙂
