Lily’s First Train Ride

It was my birthday recently, and though I don’t really like to make a big deal out of it (after all, it was my mom who pushed me out, we should be celebrating HER!) my parents and my sister came down so that we could all ride the train into Boston! It was Lily’s first train ride ever and she absolutely loved it. On the ride in she sat with Grammy the whole way and on the way out we had to stand for most of the ride (it was super busy this day! There was a baseball game!) but she still loved it!

We parked at the train station in Newton, took the train in to Government Center and then we ate lunch at Cheers restaurant! I’ve never seen the show, but my mom loves it and so we decided to check the one in Fanueil Hall out! We saw some fun street performers that Lily really enjoyed watching, got a cute new family photo, and Auntie Krystle got Lily a new owl purse!

After we got home, we ended the day with some awesome cake! If you know me at all, you know that I LOVE tie-dye anything! My sister got me a tie-dye cake and I was sooo happy about it!!

Well, here are a few of my faves from this sweet family day and Lily’s first train ride! I didn’t take many photos but I do love the ones we have!

You can usually find me adding books to my never-ending “to read” list; challenging myself to do things like not shop for a year; sneaking crispy m+ms from my secret hiding spot so I don’t have to share them with my daughter; and melting over seeing my children smiling at each other.

Oh and I guess I should mention - I’m a seasoned Portland wedding photographer who provides not only kick-ass wedding photos, but also a meaningful and laid-back experience from the time you book to the delivery of your final images.

I share all things personal, business, tips, and life as a mom and business owner here on the blog!
