At every wedding, I take photos of the wedding dress by itself. Let’s face it – they’re gorgeous, and the bride spent a lot of money on those gorgeous gowns they are going to wear on such a special day in their life.
With that being said, it may be a good idea to look into getting a personalized wedding dress hanger, so that the beauty of your dress isn’t lessened by the lack of a nice hanger. In the beginning of my wedding photography career, a lot of the dresses I took photos of had the cheap plastic hangers from the bridal shop. After those first few weddings, I bought a “Bride” hanger to bring with me to weddings if they did not have one. I think it makes a huge difference! Also, it is sort of becoming a “thing” to have hangers customized with your new last name! They can be found all over Etsy for about twenty dollars!

Having a nice wooden hanger just adds more elegance to such a beautiful dress! I will always have mine with me at weddings, but if you have your own special hanger for me to use that’s great!
