I realized the other week that I actually never shared these two books that I read over the summer! I’ve been doing a great job with books on my list that I created this year, but I’ve also been doing a lot of extracurricular reading too! I’ve been finding myself in a pattern of reading a fiction book in between my “life-giving” books that I’ve been focusing on this year and it’s been so fun! Focusing on my reading this year has really reminded me just how much I ADORE reading and how much differently I feel when I’m reading on a regular basis! And, Lily is totally taking after her mama and LOVES to read too! It makes my heart so happy!
Okay, here are the two books:
- For the Love by Jen Hatmaker // This one was from my list to read this year and it’s a book that I sort of wish I had bought a copy of so I could’ve written all in it! Jen Hatmaker wrote about so many truths that I directly related to. I loved her conversations about sisterhood, about marriage and battles that the other person doesn’t even know they’re fighting, the recipes she shared, and just her honesty throughout it all. I definitely recommend this book!!
- Night Diver by Elizabeth Lowell // I read one of her books on a whim a few years ago because it was in the “new arrivals” section of the library, so I thought it’d be fun to give another one a try! Apparently, I’m a sucker for romance novels, haha. I liked this one because of how much it had to do with the ocean! It sort of felt like a murder mystery at times, but I thought it was good! If you’re into romance, this might be a fun, light, book to read!
Tell me, what book are you reading now?
