They have their mothers to thank for their upcoming wedding next year. If they hadn’t put them in cheerleading (Shila) and gymnastics (Stephen), they never would have met during their time at the University of Maine at Farmington. Shila said after two weeks she knew that this was the man she was going to spend the rest of her life with. The rest, as they say, is history!
Their engagement session was so fun! We walked around Fort Williams in Cape Elizabeth, trying to beat the rain and the increasing darkness. We talked about weddings, shared battle teaching stories, and laughed a lot! We were all hot messes from being sick (well, just me and Shila) but you’d never know from these photos! 🙂 The sky was absolutely crazy that night – one half was this beautiful stormy pink sunset, and the other half was just cloudy blue skies. It definitely provided a lot of variety for their images! Enjoy! 🙂

You never know when cruise ships are going to come in and out of Portland! There were TWO that came through during Shila + Stephen’s engagement session!
