When we moved into our new place in South Portland, we got a place that had some yard to it, and we finally have the space to grow a garden! I bought the book called “Square Foot Gardening” and it’s been amazing! I have a 4×4 garden and I’m growing ten different things, and it’s so cool! I have purple string beans that are growing, and they turn green when you cook them – there was literally a day where there were these little stalks, and the next morning I went out and there were giant leaves on them! It’s super neat 🙂
My parents always had flower gardens when I was growing up and a couple of times they had a vegetable garden. I think the entire concept of gardening is so cool, especially when you can grow your own!
I am SO excited for the end of the summer to make fresh salsa and pasta sauce with food from my garden! Check out some photos of the progress so far!
