I met Emily, Shawn and their daughter Annie shortly after I moved back to Portland. They were relatively new transplants from Texas, and I was quickly drawn to them. I also found out relatively quickly that Annie and Lily share the same birthday! Two years apart though, haha, but still pretty cool. Emily and I formed a fast friendship, and I absolutely loved getting to know her and spending time with her.
Fast forward almost two years, they added another sweet baby to their family – Micah – and they decided to move to Washington state. Though I’m so sad to see such a dear friend leave, and a sweet friendship between our girls, I know this journey is one that is going to be so great for them! Before they left, we squeezed in a quick family session (their first photos as a family of four!) on the Eastern Promenade. This is one of their favorite places to go as a family, so it was a little extra special to shoot there 🙂
