It’s wild to think that I’ve photographed this little family from the very beginning. From Nick and Emily’s engagement photos, to the birth of both of their boys, and now to their yearly photos. I love that I get to watch them grow! This time around, we went to Broad Cove Reserve in Cumberland to do their family photos. It started off feeling chilly, but by the end of it it was warming up nicely! However, Harrison and Callahan were not having any of it this time, haha.
That’s just the way it is sometimes with kids, and the photos of them being all serious are just as cute! Callahan was happy as long as he had a rock in his hand, and Harrison was over it. Up until the end, where he started to warm up when Lily and I went off in search of horseshoe crabs and throwing rocks in the water! So I pulled out my camera again and got some cute photos of him throwing rocks!
Of course, we paused to let them have their grumpy moments, and I took some photos of just Emily and Nick. Once kids are involved, it’s harder and harder to get photos of just you and your partner and I love being able to sneak these in during family sessions! Emily and Nick are basically pros at this point, I’ve photographed them so many times 😉
Overall, it was the best being able to see them all again. I hadn’t seen them since Cal’s newborn photos! I love how long and wild Callahan’s hair is.

I think Broad Cove Reserve just may be one of my new favorite spots to take photos! Well, as long as it’s at low tide 🙂
