Portland, Maine Wedding Photographer :: 2014 Wedding Season Goals

I am going to do a blog post in a few weeks that recaps my business goals for 2013, and will also share my business goals for 2014, but I’d like to share some goals that I have for 2014 that are specifically related to wedding season.

#1. I want to be better about taking photos of EVERY guest at a wedding. Some recent events that have taken place have made me wish that I had more photos of wedding guests to give to those who have lost loved ones.

#2. To go along with taking photos of every guest, I’d like to take photos of every guest with a softbox/umbrella setup so that they have great professional photos that they can have.

#3. Play around some more with cool lighting setups during the reception.

#4. VARY my bridal party poses. I’m sure my clients don’t notice, but I feel like I do the same bridal party poses at every wedding.

#5. Stay a little longer at receptions. I got better at that towards the end of my season, but I want to keep it up because that is the time to practice new techniques!

#6. Be better at sending the PASS links to all the vendors involved so that they may have photos to share for their own business use.

You can usually find me adding books to my never-ending “to read” list; challenging myself to do things like not shop for a year; sneaking crispy m+ms from my secret hiding spot so I don’t have to share them with my daughter; and melting over seeing my children smiling at each other.

Oh and I guess I should mention - I’m a seasoned Portland wedding photographer who provides not only kick-ass wedding photos, but also a meaningful and laid-back experience from the time you book to the delivery of your final images.

I share all things personal, business, tips, and life as a mom and business owner here on the blog!
