Portland, Maine Photographer:: Birthdays

Friday at 2:10 marked the beginning of my April vacation, and I am SO incredibly excited that it’s finally here!! Friday also happened to be my birthday, so my sister and I went to get our nails done at our new favorite place: Lily’s Nails. We’d been there once before for my sister’s birthday, and I have never had so much fun at a nail salon. The two ladies that work there are so funny! I love it. However, I was under strict orders to be home by 4:15, but preferably 4. Husband’s orders. I rolled in at 4:06, and before I knew it, we were on our way again! I had no idea where he was taking me. But he had some bags with him, which definitely confused me. All I knew is that we were going out to eat at Tortilla Flat, but we were going in the wrong direction ๐Ÿ™‚

Steven surprised me with a night at a local bed & breakfast, theย West End Inn! We have never stayed at one of these before, and we were suppose to have a night in Boston when we went back in February, but it didn’t happen. It was so sweet of him to do that! The Inn is gorgeous, and the food was to die for! The next day, my parents came up for a Deaf film festival, and we had dinner and cake together! It was one of the best birthdays ever, spent with some of my favorite people! Check it out ๐Ÿ™‚

This food plate was so delicious! We pretty much inhaled it ๐Ÿ™‚ I totally want to make chocolate covered strawberries this summer!Our room! ๐Ÿ™‚I love beds like this. They’re just so elegant!Steven took this one! ๐Ÿ™‚Walking down the stairs the next morning for breakfast!Pretty much everything was homemade: the yogurt, the granola, the juice, and the muffins! Sooo yummy!!I chose a window table ๐Ÿ™‚ And Steven wanted a photo with the keys on the table ๐Ÿ™‚ He’s adorable.ย The chairs are beautiful. Well, the whole place was beautiful.ย I loved the stairs lined with photos!I thought this tree was really pretty!I love this man more than words can ever describe <3Eating more fresh fruit!!Breakfast quesadilla – seriously the best breakfast I’ve had in an incredibly long time. Everything was local and organic!My ice cream cake! We didn’t have any candles so my sister used some lighters ๐Ÿ™‚ I love my family so much. This was the most perfect birthday.

You can usually find me adding books to my never-ending โ€œto readโ€ list; challenging myself to do things like not shop for a year; sneaking crispy m+ms from my secret hiding spot so I donโ€™t have to share them with my daughter; and melting over seeing my children smiling at each other.

Oh and I guess I should mention - Iโ€™m a seasoned Portland wedding photographer who provides not only kick-ass wedding photos, but also a meaningful and laid-back experience from the time you book to the delivery of your final images.

I share all things personal, business, tips, and life as a mom and business owner here on the blog!
