Portland, Maine Photographer:: Faith, bikes, sports, and guilty pleasures!

Today I bring you the last four weeks of my 52 weeks of FUN photo challenge!

Week #12: Faith

I’ve been reading this book called “The Case for Faith,” because as you may have read on previous blog posts, I am trying to find my faith again. It’s something that is so important to me, and at this point I’ll do just about anything to get it. The paragraph above (but faith isn’t always easy…) spoke to my soul. It’s like this book was written just for me. I’m so excited to keep reading it and keep working on this personal journey of mine!

Week #13: Show us your home.

This one has a few different photos. We live in a small two bedroom apartment, but I love it. It really helps me weed out the things I don’t need. I love our place. It’s home for me, and it’s the best feeling ever. I get home from school and I don’t want to go anywhere else. It’s an odd sensation. haha

I painted this at the foot of our bed frame that we made! I love it 🙂Our bedroom. This is totally my comfort spot. I could happily spend all day laying in bed. We also spend a lot of time at our computer! Thank goodness Steven bought a real office chair!
The bathroom was my sister’s space to take care of. She rocked at putting it together!Kitchen 🙂 And Steven’s bikes. We use to keep three over there, but then we decided to leave one in his parent’s basement for a while. I love our living room. I think this is the first time I’ve lived somewhere and truly loved how it all looks!

Week #14: Sports

So, climbing isn’t exactly classified as a sport, but it has the word sport in “sport climbing” so that is how I’m justifying it! I should’ve gotten a photo of us at the rock gym, but oh well. Live and learn, right? These are my shoes and harness!

Week 15: Guilty Pleasure

One of my guilty pleasures is getting my nails done. I just feel so incredibly pretty, and somehow empowered, when I have my nails done professionally. Not to mention, the massage they give my hands is fabulous. I got my nails done yesterday for my birthday and I love them! I’d like to make it a once a month thing, but we’ll see how it goes. I always feel guilty spending money on things I don’t necessarily need!

You can usually find me adding books to my never-ending “to read” list; challenging myself to do things like not shop for a year; sneaking crispy m+ms from my secret hiding spot so I don’t have to share them with my daughter; and melting over seeing my children smiling at each other.

Oh and I guess I should mention - I’m a seasoned Portland wedding photographer who provides not only kick-ass wedding photos, but also a meaningful and laid-back experience from the time you book to the delivery of your final images.

I share all things personal, business, tips, and life as a mom and business owner here on the blog!
