Today was the first day back to school for us teachers. It’s amazing to think that another summer has gone by, and I am going to be starting my third year of teaching!
This time, as I look back on my summer vacation, I am actually proud of what I accomplished. Last year, when school started, I felt like I had nothing to show for it, and I was determined to not let it happen again. I was able to check everything off of my summer bucket list, and I had so much fun doing it! So many scrapbooks were made, which makes me super happy to have actual photos to look at; I learned how to make new and yummy things; I was fortunate enough to go to the beach often with my sister; very grateful for the vacation Steven and I were able to take to celebrate our anniversary; and best of all, I got to rest. I rested, read, and visited with friends and family A LOT. There’s no greater way to spend my time.
I am very thankful for the summer I had. Simplifying my life and focusing on being present in my life really set this summer apart from the rest. I hope you all had fabulous summers as well 🙂
However, I am looking forward to routine and structure and the adventures of a new school year!
Cheers!
