His parents were coming back through from Connecticut and happily agreed to watch Lily so that Steven and I could have the afternoon to ourselves to celebrate our anniversary. When I asked him what we should do with our time, the first thing he thought was that we should go to the library and each pick out a book! It’s no secret I love to read, so I loved this sweet idea of his! And, of course, in true Linda fashion I picked out two instead of one!
- The Geometry of Sisters by Luanne Rice // Luanne Rice has been one of my favorite authors since I was in high school! I’ve read a significant number of her books, and when I saw this in the library I just had to grab it! It was such a great book about the intricacy of family dynamics and the bond between sisters. Having my own sister, I could really relate to this book and feel what they must have been feeling as well! I also love that there were a few things that really took me by surprise in this book! I definitely recommend this one!
- Ginny Moon by Benjamin Ludwig // I used to work with adults with developmental disabilities so when I read the description of this book I totally snagged it off of the “new arrivals” shelf and I’m really happy I did! It was a very quick and easy read, but it was really neat how the book was written from Ginny’s perspective. She’s a teenager with autism and the story line was really rich! I also recommend this one!
