Portland, Maine Photographer :: True Confessions, Part Two

#1. I didn’t have my first kiss until I was nineteen years old. What can I say? I’m old fashioned 🙂

#2. Putting a 70-200mm lens on my camera instantly makes my back hurt. That was a sad realization when I used it for the first time a couple of weeks ago!

#3. I rent lenses, secretly hoping that I won’t like them. This never works. I always end up loving it and adding another couple of thousand dollars to my wish list.

#4. I’m really trying SUPER hard to not buy anything new anymore. And to stay local. It’s harder than it looks! I can’t wait to have a baby shower and tell everyone that I only want used items 🙂

#5. The progress I’ve made in wedding photography is astounding. To me, at least. And it’s only been six months!

#6. I wear my sanuks pretty much all the time. They’re kind of like my flats, in the sense that when I wore them for the first few times, I didn’t know what to think or feel about them. Now, I can’t live without them.

#7. My love for fruit has grown rather intensely over the last year. I start my morning now with oatmeal and blueberries, and can’t imagine having it any other way!

#8. I accidentally took a green uni-ball vision fine point pen from the library. Now I use it all the time. I’m pretty sure we were meant to be.

#9. I love food. That probably isn’t news to you, but I figured I’d throw it out there!

#10. I’m really excited and nervous to be hosting my first workshop with Becky in August! I love teaching, and I love photography, so teaching photography would just make my world. You can check out the details here!

You can usually find me adding books to my never-ending “to read” list; challenging myself to do things like not shop for a year; sneaking crispy m+ms from my secret hiding spot so I don’t have to share them with my daughter; and melting over seeing my children smiling at each other.

Oh and I guess I should mention - I’m a seasoned Portland wedding photographer who provides not only kick-ass wedding photos, but also a meaningful and laid-back experience from the time you book to the delivery of your final images.

I share all things personal, business, tips, and life as a mom and business owner here on the blog!
