Portland, Maine Photographer :: Homemade meatballs!

It’s been a while since I did a recipe, so I figured I’d share another one of my favorites! I absolutely LOVE homemade meatballs. I can’t eat the processed frozen ones – there’s just something about them! Making them myself is super easy, and it gives me lots of freedom to tweak the taste to my liking!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of beef (or whatever meat you’d like to use!)
  • oregano
  • basil
  • cilantro
  • garlic salt
  • 1 egg
  • cheese
  • bread crumbs

I don’t use exact amounts of any of the seasonings or anything. I just eyeball it 🙂

If you haven’t made meatballs before, you just mix everything together in a bowl, and then mold them into the size you want for your meatballs! I cook mine in olive oil. I just put a layer in the bottom of the pan, put the meatballs in, and just let them cook until they’re done! Once they’ve turned brown more than halfway, I flip them to let them finish cooking!

And the finished product is SO yummy! 🙂

You can usually find me adding books to my never-ending “to read” list; challenging myself to do things like not shop for a year; sneaking crispy m+ms from my secret hiding spot so I don’t have to share them with my daughter; and melting over seeing my children smiling at each other.

Oh and I guess I should mention - I’m a seasoned Portland wedding photographer who provides not only kick-ass wedding photos, but also a meaningful and laid-back experience from the time you book to the delivery of your final images.

I share all things personal, business, tips, and life as a mom and business owner here on the blog!
