Portland, Maine Photographer :: Bokeh Shapes

This week’s theme was making our own bokeh shapes! “Bokeh” is the blurriness that one typically sees in the backgrounds of photos, and those can take shapes depending on your settings, lights, type of lens, or if you have put a shape in front of your lens 🙂 I played around with using stars this week with my christmas tree! It was a lot of fun! I tried this out about two years ago during a self-portrait challenge, but haven’t done it since. These photos are far from perfect, I know the color is the best, and that my focus is off on some of the ones with my sister, but nonetheless, I love them 🙂

As always, I am so thankful to have such a fun sister who will try new things with me!

You can usually find me adding books to my never-ending “to read” list; challenging myself to do things like not shop for a year; sneaking crispy m+ms from my secret hiding spot so I don’t have to share them with my daughter; and melting over seeing my children smiling at each other.

Oh and I guess I should mention - I’m a seasoned Portland wedding photographer who provides not only kick-ass wedding photos, but also a meaningful and laid-back experience from the time you book to the delivery of your final images.

I share all things personal, business, tips, and life as a mom and business owner here on the blog!
