“If you didn’t just raise your hand and cheer, and you came alone today, you are not alone. You are all on the same team.” Truer words could not have been spoken. This past Saturday, I had the most amazing experience with two fabulous ladies at the Mudderella in New Jersey. This is an experience put on by women, for women, to help raise money for Futures Without Violence, and I feel so blessed to have been a part of it. This was a five mile course, full of mud, with 13 obstacles. It was SO much fun, and it was the most amazing thing to see so many women (and men!) helping each other out despite not having a single clue who the person was that they were helping. We were all there to support each other and to help each other get through the obstacles and make it to the end. There are not any words that can do what I experienced justice. I highly suggest participating in this event if it is ever in your area. There were 11,000 people there that day, and it was incredible. I never knew I would have so much fun being absolutely covered in mud, climbing over walls, wading through cold muddy water, and running through insane mud pits.
Here are some phone photos from the day 🙂 My shoes are still damp, my legs are scratched and bruised, but it was all worth it, and I would happily do it again 🙂
