Good Reads // Spring 2019

I feel like I need to start this post by saying that Rachel Hollis and the Cultivate What Matters team can just take all my money. They never cease to amaze and deliver on their products! I wanted to take a minute to share a couple more books that I’ve read this year!

  1. Girl Stop Apologizing by Rachel Hollis // I read her first book Girl, Wash Your Face and as soon as I heard there was going to be a sequel, I knew I needed to get it. I devoured that book so quickly and I loved it! Purple highlighter lives all throughout those pages now! Rachel Hollis is basically a goddess and I love her! I just love her no-nonsense attitude, and how she is authentic about the good and the bad, and how she can be so encouraging and funny in her style of writing!
  2. Cultivate by Lara Casey // I read another one of her books last year (Make It Happen) and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I bought Cultivate a while ago, but never got around to reading it until last month! I really enjoy Lara’s style of writing, and maybe that’s because I have a love for gardening, but I find it easy to digest and it’s relatable. There is so much that I could apply to my life, or it is something I aspired to have/do. I love how there are sections called “Grace from the Garden” as sort of bonus chapters, and they are perfect! She writes from a place of faith, and I found that to be really encouraging as I read my way through her book!

Overall, I’d give both of these books the highest score possible and I definitely encourage any female out there to read them if you’re looking for something new!

Now tell me, what books should I be reading this year?!

You can usually find me adding books to my never-ending “to read” list; challenging myself to do things like not shop for a year; sneaking crispy m+ms from my secret hiding spot so I don’t have to share them with my daughter; and melting over seeing my children smiling at each other.

Oh and I guess I should mention - I’m a seasoned Portland wedding photographer who provides not only kick-ass wedding photos, but also a meaningful and laid-back experience from the time you book to the delivery of your final images.

I share all things personal, business, tips, and life as a mom and business owner here on the blog!
