This year I didn’t create a book list even though it worked SO well for me last year! But it’s kind of fun to just pick out books at random right now and read without feeling the pressure I put on myself to get through an awesome list! This year I’m going to try to do monthly blog posts about books I’ve read that month! So, here is January’s post!
- Scrappy Little Nobody by Anna Kendrick // I loved her in Pitch Perfect, and I used to teach at the high school she attended so I’ve always been really curious about her memoir! I kick myself for not looking through yearbooks when I was teaching there to see what kind of mark she left, haha. But, I’ve got to say I really LOVED her book. It was quick for me to read, she definitely has a sense of humor in her writing, but even more than that I loved how she would sprinkle in little messages that totally empower women!
- Talking As Fast As I Can by Lauren Graham // You all know I LOVE Gilmore Girls, so I’ve been dying to read this book. It was really hard to not imagine Lorelai Gilmore in my head the entire time I read it, but I did love it. She talks about her life primarily from Gilmore Girls to the reenactment. I also loved her in Parenthood so this book was a must for me. It’s a light read, definitely witty, and if you like either of her characters I think you’ll enjoy this book!
- In Conclusion, Don’t Worry About It by Lauren Graham // This is 45 pages, and it’s awesome. If I remember correctly it was based on a commencement speech she gave once and I really liked the message that she gave in it. So much so that I’ve turned a couple of them into quotes for my social media.
