It was January first, a fresh start to a new year, and Dad had the day off. So we decided to do her DITL session that day. I think this was one of the most laid-back days we have had since starting this series, and it was really nice! It was also WAY too cold to do anything outdoors, so we hung out inside and just enjoyed Steven’s last day of vacation together.
As usual, it seems, Steven had a little mini project going on this day – soldering! Lily was pretty interested in watching him work on it!
We also took far less photos than we normally do, and I think that’s because we spent almost four hours at a friend’s house for their New Year’s party and it lasted right up until Lily’s bedtime – we were having too much fun!
Since our last installment:
- Lily has two more teeth coming in, and they’re taking their sweet time.
- She’s on a bit of a carrot strike, but will apparently eat a few if she’s sitting in the living room with them.
- The first thing she does in the morning when she wakes up is grabs all of her stuffed animal friends and carry them around for a little bit.
- Lily is still super into putting her own stuff on, and it’s so fun to watch! She’s often taking our clothes and trying to put them on. So cool to watch her grow and explore!
- We do a LOT of coloring and painting on a regular basis now!
- I don’t remember how long it’s been, but we are officially down to one nap a day and we are totally in a new rhythm!
- Lily loves to try to help me do yoga – mostly she just stands as close as she can to me, gives me hugs and kisses, and will often try to sit on me if I’m laying down, haha. Keeps things interesting, for sure!
- It’s very challenging to get her in the car seat now because all she wants to do is climb into the very back, or play with the ceiling light.
- She has recently discovered playing under our bed and will spend a lot of time there while I’m putting away laundry.
Well, check out some photos from our day! She was awfully serious in so many of these!
