If I had only one word to describe Lauren + Mike’s wedding day, I’d have to choose MAGICAL. I mean, just LOOK at the place where they got married! They knew each other for ten years before reconnecting in 2019. It didn’t take long for them to realize they had all the same goals in life. Lauren accidentally fell in love with Mike, and that led to their incredible intimate wedding in Mashpee last summer!
This is how Lauren described what was happening with their wedding in our initial e-mail exchanges: “The wedding is taking place on the Cape at the house Mike grew up in. It’s a really magical place, his dad actually built their house for his mom from the ground up. They live on a river so it’s super pretty. They have a big Irish family, so this is actually the 10th wedding they’ve had on their property.” (I feel confident in saying this was all a huge understatement!)
I was sold. And then I met them. Then I was in love, haha. More than having the same goals in life, these two get each other. They make each other laugh; they hype each other up; and they’re there for each other. They are two whole individuals who make something really spectacular when they’re put together.
I should also mention that this was literally one of the hottest days of the summer. Everyone was melting from the heat (somehow Lauren remained flawless the entire night) and it was still one of the most memorable intimate weddings I’ve witnessed. The toasts that were made, the amount of laughter, and the overall incredible vibes just really made this day truly magical.
Lauren + Mike, thanks for trusting me, thanks for having me come all the way down to Mashpee to photograph such a sweet and special intimate wedding. It was an absolute honor.
