Hey there! I'm Linda! I was born and raised in Maine, spent the last 6 years in Portland, and now call the Boston area my home!
Most days you can find me playing on the floor with my daughter, writing love letters to my husband, and reading with a cup of tea!
I am mostly known for being able to find all the things my husband has lost, making as much food as I can from scratch, my obsession with chips and salsa, and my mad organization skills.
Anyone who knows me, knows that I am BIG believer of printing your photos. I have scrapbooks and printed photo books galore! I don’t believe that your photos of your life should live on your phone or on your computer! Having photos printed that you can sit down with friends and family with just creates such wonderful memories and allows you to share so many stories!
However, there’s one thing about ordering prints to keep in mind! I just wanted to share this one quick tip today because not everyone is aware of it! Not all sizes are created equal when it comes to prints! I basically ONLY order prints with a 2:3 ratio. So, sizes like 4×6, 8×12, 12×18, etc. are all examples of a 2:3 ratio. If you order photographs that are not in a 2:3 ratio, they will have to be cropped. Now, this can often be totally fine and the crop doesn’t do anything weird to a photo. However, sometimes when a photo ends up being cropped it can cut things off in a photo that you otherwise wanted to keep there! So, if you’re ordering prints yourself, be sure to pay attention to the crop if you have any sizes that are not 2:3 ratios, such as a 5×7 or an 8×10!
Anyway, just something to keep in mind when you’re ordering prints, whether it’s through me or through a print lab of your choice!
