It’s really easy as a business owner (or just a human being) to say, “I’m never going to do X,Y,Z” because the reality is that we can’t predict our future. We don’t know how things are going to evolve and grow in our lives. We can’t actually know what we’d really do in a particular situation.
As a photographer, I used to have some things I said I’d NEVER photograph. But look at me now- I’m photographing families and actually enjoy it! I feel so much pride and honor to be able to do these family sessions! Three years ago I said “no thanks” and referred people out, because they weren’t my cup of tea.
So, now, I just say that for the time being, I’m not doing X, Y, Z because it doesn’t bring me joy to do that. In the future that just may change!
I wanted to write this short little note today to say:
It’s truly okay if your focus changes.
Let it change. Grow with your business and your own personal desires. Change can be a beautiful thing, and never say never.
