Bridgton Proposal

They had gotten a text asking them to go check on the new boat, because it had been windy the last few days. Corey got down the path just enough to see that the boat was fine. But Chris said “let’s go check the other side from pier 9.” It wasn’t until they were almost to the dock that she told him “you’re being so weird.” I peeked around from my hiding spot behind the boat, and thought for sure she had seen me, and started photographing as soon as Chris got down on one knee. Corey had no idea that Chris was being so weird because he had been planning the perfect proposal while they were in Bridgton!

Chris had thought of everything. Down to ensuring that Corey would end up having her nails done before they headed to Bridgton for the long weekend. He contacted me less than a week before he was planning to propose to Corey, and I’m so glad I had the date open!

I loved hearing all the things he had thought about during the week to make sure everything went smoothly. I especially loved hearing about how nervous he was all week and how he had barely slept. And then once Corey’s best friend Jenna knew about it, SHE couldn’t sleep and couldn’t think about anything else. It became so clear to me, so quickly, just how much everyone loves Corey and Chris, and how excited they are for their engagement!

Of course, Corey said YES! She’s been waiting for this moment for ten years, and it was absolutely perfect 🙂 Chris and Corey, congratulations again, and I’m so excited for you both!!!

I love a good proposal, and the location in Bridgton did not disappoint! The overcast day really made her ring shine!!

You can usually find me adding books to my never-ending “to read” list; challenging myself to do things like not shop for a year; sneaking crispy m+ms from my secret hiding spot so I don’t have to share them with my daughter; and melting over seeing my children smiling at each other.

Oh and I guess I should mention - I’m a seasoned Portland wedding photographer who provides not only kick-ass wedding photos, but also a meaningful and laid-back experience from the time you book to the delivery of your final images.
