Photo of the Day – April

Gosh, April was a super tough month for me. I continued to have pretty severe morning sickness that finally started to lift by the end of the month. I’m endlessly grateful for my sweet girl who keeps me going and tries so hard to help take care of her mama. Here is April’s installment of my photo of the day project!

// I’ve discovered the s’more girl scout cookies this year, and I’m definitely loving them! Thanks-a-lots are still my absolute fave but these are a close second!

// This was the day I heard the baby’s heartbeat for the first time, and so we told Lily she was going to be a big sister! You can read more about my IVF journey here.

// I’ve ALWAYS loved taking photos of raindrops, especially on things outside after a storm!

// I had a feeling it would be closed, but Lily and I went for a ride anyway just to see!

// Lily came out of her room wearing her bathing suit and goggles. She put each of us on a crash pad and pretended she was swimming in a pond. She must’ve played this game of hers for almost an hour! She’s so creative!

// Lily loves playing grocery store with her little cash register!

// Went for a walk by the river and there were signs of Spring blooming everywhere! It made me so happy!

// Steven got Lily all these puzzles from the dollar store and she loves them. We’ve done them over and over now! She’s getting so good at doing them on her own!

// Steven set up a fun obstacle course in the kitchen for Lily. She was a little nervous and unsure at first, but eventually had a lot of fun doing it!

// We built a zoo with her safari animals and blocks today 🙂

// She came out with Daddy’s shirt and buff on!

// Some of my sweet friends surprised me on my birthday with sidewalk art and a cake. I definitely cried.

// Rainy day!

// Super sick this day, so Lily laid in bed with me for a while and we read a bunch of books together 🙂

// Lily’s new “big girl” nalgene! She’s loving drinking from this one.

// My sister had these beautiful flowers delivered to me for my birthday. So so sweet of her and such a surprise!

// The bamboo plant seems to be making a comeback!

// Finally a photo with our best buds!! <3

// I had been craving bruschetta and mashed potatoes for a week, and finally got to have it! I was soooo excited!

// Lily LOVES Stevie, nana’s cat!

// I’m so pregnant, haha. Eggless cookie dough graham cracker sandwiches! 🙂

// End of April and we’re getting snow?!

// Finally starting to feel like a human again – made myself a fruit and yogurt parfait and it was soooo good!

// We made Lily this “sand pile” and she’s pretty obsessed with it.

// Helping rake up some leaves with her new Lily-sized rake!

// Working on her golf swing! lol.

// Nana’s seedlings for her garden are growing so well!!

// I hope Lily never stops asking me to read with her. It’s my favorite way to spend time with her.

// 14 weeks with baby Barry #2!

// Painting rocks for the garden! This was such a fun activity – she collected all the rocks herself from outside 🙂

Well, there you have it! April’s installment of the photo of the day project! Thanks for following along with me! 🙂

You can usually find me adding books to my never-ending “to read” list; challenging myself to do things like not shop for a year; sneaking crispy m+ms from my secret hiding spot so I don’t have to share them with my daughter; and melting over seeing my children smiling at each other.

Oh and I guess I should mention - I’m a seasoned Portland wedding photographer who provides not only kick-ass wedding photos, but also a meaningful and laid-back experience from the time you book to the delivery of your final images.

I share all things personal, business, tips, and life as a mom and business owner here on the blog!
